The
culmination of the Babiche curriculum is an exchange trip the students
take to other native cultures in the U.S. The villages go to different
pueblos and reservations and share their presentations about what
life is like in their villages, and in their cultures.

These
journeys provide students with a once in a lifetime experience because
many tribes open their doors to the students, some generously offering
host families for the students to stay with. Experiences interacting
with youth from other cultures in diverse geographical areas help
them to see the contrast with their own way of life. Aside from
learning about other tribes, cultures and traditions, students learn
about respect, generosity, geography, and gain valuable presentation
skills.
